thyssenkrupp Uhde signs engineering contract at CIIE

On November 7, during the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE), thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH signed a four-party contract with BASELL POLYOLEFINE GmbH, CHINACOAL SHAANXI YULIN ENERGY & CHEMICAL CO., LTD. and CHINA NATIONAL COAL DEVELOPMENT CO., LTD. for the provision of licensing, engineering and technical services for a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) plant.

CHINACOAL SHAANXI YULIN ENERGY & CHEMICAL CO., LTD. plans to build a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) plant with an annual production capacity of approximately 250,000 tons in Yulin, Shaanxi. According to the contract, thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH will provide tailored extended process design package, detailed design for part of the high-pressure process piping, and related technical services.

Olaf Stellberger, Head of sales global polyolefin business, said after contract signing: " CIIE provides a platform for exchange and cooperation between Chinese and foreign companies.
