The delegation from Ansteel Group included leaders from various business sectors such as steel, automotive, trade, and strategic development. Mr. López welcomed the delegation and expressed his pleasure in deepening the exchange between the two parties, following his initial meeting with Chairman Tan at the SASAC (State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission) meeting last year.
Mr. López recognized the good business development over the past 20 years of the joint venture TAGAL (tkAS Auto Steel Company Ltd.). During the meeting, thyssenkrupp and Ansteel Group exchanged views on topics such as the impact of global macroeconomic trends on manufacturing, the transformation and future development of large industrial enterprises, as well as the current status of relevant industries.
Mr. López stated that thyssenkrupp is actively promoting green transformation. On one hand, the group is working towards decarbonization through technological innovation and sustainable projects. On the other hand, it supports customers in achieving their climate goals through innovative green solutions. Mr. López highlighted the practical application of decarbonization technologies in the steel business, green development in the automotive sector, and the strategic deployment of Decarbon Technologies throughout the upstream and downstream industrial chain. He also pointed out that China is an important overseas market for thyssenkrupp, and China’s green development provides more opportunities for the group's business in the region.
Ansteel Group acknowledged that thyssenkrupp's green transformation serves as a good reference for industrial enterprises. Chairman Tan Chengxu shared Ansteel’s challenges and progress in its own green transition and expressed his hope for broader cooperation with thyssenkrupp in more fields.
The day before the meeting, Ansteel Group visited thyssenkrupp’s steel plant in Duisburg and met with the steel business management team, where both sides discussed the technical path of the steel green transition and potential cooperation.
