ThyssenKrupp employs around 6,000 people in China – people whose individual
performances and ideas combine to create the conditions for the success of our
Group in the country. ThyssenKrupp’s two main managers in China are presented
below.
Alfred Wewers, President and CEO of ThyssenKrupp (China) Ltd.
Born 1948. Graduated from Westfälische Wilhelms
Universität Münster in 1974 with a degree in economics.
Joined August Thyssen Hütte AG. Held several further
positions within the Group. Moved to China for ThyssenKrupp
in 2003. Nominated President and CEO of the newly
established national holding company in 2005. He is
Chairman of the Board of the German Chamber of Commerce Beijing and Member of the All China Board of the German
Chamber of Commerce.
Gerd-H. Kohl, Chief Financial Officer of ThyssenKrupp (China) Ltd.
Born 1961. Graduated from Fachhochschule Aachen in 1989
with a degree in mechanical engineering, then studied
business administration at Fachhochschule Bochum. Joined
Mannesmann Demag Sack in Germany in 1989. Held various
positions abroad. From 2001 Managing Director of
Huennebeck Sverige AB in Sweden, then a ThyssenKrupp
subsidiary. Nominated Deputy Group Representative of the
ThyssenKrupp Representative Office Beijing in 2003. Chief
Representative Officer of the national holding company since
2005.
