ThyssenKrupp in China
The history of business relations between ThyssenKrupp and China goes back
more than 140 years. Today, China is one of the ThyssenKrupp Group’s most
important Asian locations. The strong growth of the Chinese economy and its
immense potential offer attractive market conditions for our high-quality, high-tech
products and services. One prime example is the planning and realization of the
world’s first commercial Transrapid line, running between the city of Shanghai and Pudong Airport.
In the future, ThyssenKrupp intends to further expand its presence in China so as
to be able to serve local customers and partners directly. The establishment of a national holding company in Beijing in 2005 underlines ThyssenKrupp’s long-term commitment to China.
